DRM - Reception logs Kenwood TS-440

Time : 06H00-08H10   (German) + 12H44-13H03
 
New Rx conditions since 9 Nov 2003: 
 TS440 + changed AM filter + AM point + AM mode,
SAT-Service crystal mixer 467kHz outside the rx
with a 9v battery, Ant dipole 2x7m on balcony +
5m coax cable + IBM Netvista A30P P4 1.8G

FIRST TEST with my new AM filter

Signal appears at 06H32 UTC.
My S-meter remains at zero (I will find later this was not normal, had lost some sensitivity)

Audio is OK but signal level is low. I wait to see if it will increase with
rising sun propagation (although past experience was that signal does appear
suddenly with its final strong level)

 I adjust the level on my mixer to increase it

At 07H27, although no break at all, signal shape not too good
Back OK at 07H30
I increase again my mixer level, from -18 to -12 dB to increase
immunity to the above.

Comments as of 7h50: Compared to my previous FM mode, receipt seems much more stable.
Till now I only had 2 or 3 minor breaks, or rather very brief disturbances, just reminding
what's now happening behind the scene, instead of on my screen like in FM.
Next test on DW Sri Lanka will show I had a sensitivity problem.
