| DRM - Reception logs | Kenwood TS-440 |
DW Sines broadcasting to Geneva, 13730 kHz, 18h-20h
Switched from 15465 kHz (until 18h) without any adjustment.
Signal signed on at 18h03. Very strong S9+60dB
but SNR stay very low. See pictures below.
With such a strong signal, I was believing the problem was
on the TX side...
Then at 18h45 (only!) I remembered thet adjusting the RF gain
on the TS440 may have influence. I attenuated my RF and....
fantastic ! SNR went to 24 with very solid AF and no break at
all
Very good till the end.
Rx conditions: TS440 + FM pickup point + FM mode, SAT-Service crystal
mixer 467kHz outside the rx with a 9v battery, Ant dipole 2x7m on
balcony + 5m coax cable + IBM Netvista A30P P4 1.8G
built-in soundcard. Note: The FM pickup is not the recommended
way, but I can't change my AM filter for now...
